This 2024 class is very impressive especially with back court prospects. Traditionally we only identified 5 prospects early, but with the talented pool and not too many clear separations right now we decided to identify 10 for the fabulous freshmen in this class.
Over time and during the winter season (If we have one) and the spring/summer prospects will begin to separate. The goal is for each of them to continue to work and elevate the game of basketball in the state to another level. This class of 2024 has an opportunity to be as deep as the 2021 class that has about 15 – 20 prospects with D1 offers.
Darian Grant – 6’4 – John Marshal – SF – Twitter @DarianGrant10
Darien “aka” Bubby has great length for the perimeter and a nice feel. Good looking athleticism and can defend all five positions comfortably. His upside is higher than most in the class because of the natural physical attributes he possesses. Bubby is comfortable scoring at all three levels but is a monster on the glass and defends very well.
David Castillo – 6’2 – Bartlesville CG - Twitter @dave10cast
Skilled offensively and can score the ball at an elite level from all over the floor. Castillo is silky smooth and floats around when he plays, he is one of the very few who plays with a smile and makes it looks easy. Castillo is one of those kids who just loves to hoop, and you can tell by the growth of his game over the years, he has made quantum leaps in his athleticism now and can play above the rim.
Dylan Warlick – 6’4 Edmond North – SF – Twitter @WarlickDylan
Strong rebounder has great feel around the goal and excellent footwork. His IQ for the game is pretty good and deceptive athleticism. Warlick is a tough competitor and brings a workman attitude when he hits the floor.
Chiante Tramble – 6’1 Norman – PG – Twitter @TrambleChiante
Highly skilled PG, his feel is advanced and he Tramble understands the dynamics of the position. Great vision and scores at three levels with comfort. He finishes with either hand around the basket, which contributes to his craftiness. Maybe the purest or one of the purest PG’s in this class, he just makes the game easier for others.
Dayton Forsythe – 6’1 – Dale – CG – Twitter @forsytheDayton
Forsythe is a skilled and shifty guard who plays with good pace, keeps his defenders of balance. He loves playing down hill and has good vision that translate into being a sound point guard as he moves into the high school level.
Dalen Fuller – 6’4 -Tulsa Union – F
Fuller thrives of his amazing athleticism at such an early age can be put in the conversation with some of the best athletes that came of the state of Oklahoma. High motor and seems to always be engaged in the plays on both end of the floor.
Jordan Warrior – 5’11 – PC West – PG – Twitter @jordanWarrior5
Warrior is a pass first PG who is tough as nails and he will thrive in the defensive minded Coach Lenny Bert system at PC West. Warrior brings plays downhill as well as any in the class, but his on the ball defense maybe the best in the class among the elite. Warrior plays with a motor and shows great leadership on the court while holding teammates accountable.
Cedric Hardridge – 6’1 – Victory Christian – PG – Twitter @HardridgeCedric
Dixson an elite quick handle on the ball and very dynamic scorer. Shoots the ball at a high clip, plays with great pace and very shifty. Dixson has a pretty quick first step which keeps the defense of balance. Victory Christian will be getting a good-looking freshman and should have a great year in 4A and help bring back the glory days of competing for the Gold ball.
Jamon Valentine – 6’2 – Choctaw – CG – Twiter @JamonValentine1
Valentine has superb athleticism plays with a high sense of urgency and his motor keeps going. He loves to endure contact while playing downhill and is a fierce competitor (could be viewed as Dwayne Wade style of player) His mid rang is probably one of the better ones in the class, which helps with his dynamic ability to score. Valentine is also solid on the defensive end of the floor sacrificing his body going after loose balls.
Kylen Edwards – 6’2 – Sapulpa – CG
Edwards is a good-looking athlete, very bouncy and has a nice feel for the game. Many don’t know this prospect and maybe the most unknown of all on this list, but this kid can flat out play. Observed him making plays and the game easier for others while getting buckets in bunches. He is one of the very few on this class puts it down in traffic from making a skill move downhill. Edwards is as tough as nails and loves to compete.
