2021 Boys

The 2021 class has been a very intriguing and deep class from the onset. Loaded with perimeter talent, it will be a race to the end to see where players actually end up signing in early November (2020) or Late Spring (2021). There are about 15 legitimate D1 prospects in the class, now will they all play or get D1 offers? Only time will tell. However, it can comfortably be stated that the state of Oklahoma will have multiple prospects with High to Low D1 offers and that is viewed as successful for that state of Oklahoma. Any prospects on this initial list will have the opportunity to play collegiate basketball and that also means you are a part of a strong class. Prospects, there are several different rankings in the state of Oklahoma and each sees prospect through their own lens and some don’t see them at all. Nevertheless, despite what each reporting media thinks, just keep working and show why you should be offered a scholarship to college coaches. Always play with purpose and more importantly keep your academics right and be a qualifier.

In addition, six of the top seven prospects in our rankings have won a state championship by there sophomore year. A great indicator of not only being talented but understanding how to allow your natural talent to be apart of a winning culture. In the end, most times talent prevails in recruiting, but winning and playing within systems helps.

Alexander has good size for a guard, with his long wiry arms and seeing plays emerge before they occur keeps him at the top of the class. Alexander has the ability to score at all three levels, facilitates and provides sound leadership. Alexander does not take plays off when he is on the floor, his ability to lead by example and be a proven winner keeps him in the national conversation.  Alexander could improve his recruiting through his lateral quickness and quicker shot release at a higher point. Also being more efficient on the offensive end, Look for Alexander hopes to continue to emerge in the national conversation with his hard work and determination, which should add another star next to his name to move in the top 25 in the country and a potential Team USA invite and Mcdonalds ALL American selection.

Robinson the Texas A&M commit has emerged as a top 50 national recruit and one of the finest shooters in the country, The snipper had a breakout season last spring and he has not looked back, His ability to shoot the long ball has put him in the national conversation among the elite. Jaxson's smooth approach to the game and long wiry frame is eye candy to D1 coaches.  Robinson's biggest improvement will come through getting stronger and being more comfortable handling the ball against elite athletes. Look for Robinson to continue his assault on the national circuit that is worthy of a five-star rating during this last year and making a run at a Mcdonalds All American bid.

4.Tyler Pinder 6’2 – PG – Broken Arrow

Pinder one of the most intriguing prospects in this class is a mystery to many because of his unconventional approach during his scholastic career. But once he steps on the court, there is no doubt he belongs in the top in the class, he has good vision, a great floor general, probably the most prolific shooter, along with a strong handle, and very quick. He is a proven winner, and leadership is second to none on and off the floor.  A mature lead guard has the ability to read the game like a coach, understands defensively what teams are doing and cerebrally among the top of this class. Pinder has competed against the nation’s best and won regional and state championship (TCAL) at the 6A level. Pinder's biggest area of improvement will be in his vertical explosion and finishing around the basket. Pinder international experience in the FIBA championships in Puerto Rico last summer where he was a vital part of the Bahamas Jr National team qualifying for the Tournament of Americas in 2020 will contribute to overall recruiting. Pinder will look to secure more D1 offers and interests during this summer and his senior year to help the tigers to a 6A state championship.

5. Matthew Stone 6’4 – SG – Kingfisher

Stone plays with a lot of energy, demonstrates his ability to be a sharpshooter a slasher and his a proving winner securing a high school state championship. Stone has improved his athleticism, which has allowed him to finish over the top of opposing front line players.  Stone flexibility versatility as a perimeter should a player improve and his ability to defend the position against elite wings. Stone has a chance to move up in this class if he continues to show more athleticism and mobility in movement on the perimeter. Stone also has secured multiple D1 offers and looks to add to it during this summer and senior year of high school.

6. Christian Prayer 6’8 – PF – RLTC Prep

Prayer is an international student-Athlete that is physically imposing and the top athlete in the class. Prayer like Pinder has also taken the unconventional route for their scholastic career by Oklahoma standards and is under the Radar. However, Prayer is an imposing figure around the basket; he finishes most plays with authority and now improving as a straight driver to add to his skill set. An elite rebounder, rim runner, and rim protector (Three R’s for front line players{can also run}), Prayer is also developing a nice touch away from the basket.  Also, He was also a vital part of the Lions TCAL championship in class 6A during 2019. Prayer needs to show more consistency on his perimeter shot and feel of the game. He will be intriguing to D1 coaches and add to his interest and offer list. Prayer has the athletic Powless to be the number 1 player in the class.

7. Devon Barnes 6’0 – PG – Lawton Christian

Barnes is a dynamic and crafty guard who loves to put pressure on the defense. His ability to get in the lane and create opportunities for team members are as good as any in the state regardless of class. Barnes's strong pitbull frame brings his east coast style of guard play to the state of Oklahoma that gives many opposing defenses problems. Barnes mid-range is also lethal and he can knock down the long ball at an effective rate. His toughness and energy, along with his leadership contributes to his overall mystique as a prospect. Barnes will look to continue to ake his case and secure a scholarship during the summer and his senior campaign and win Lawton Christian third straight Heartland conference state championship.

Pritchard has emerged as a sound point guard who can be an effective facilitator with good talent around him. Pritchard has the ability to fill it up from a long-range and he is also a dynamic scorer. His athleticism has definitely improved significantly, which has helped with his crafty finish around the basket. His work ethic is as good as any. As Pritchard improves his lateral quickness and shows the ability to create space from athletic defenders and have an alpha mentality in that competitive environment could definitely help in his recruiting and offers this summer.

9. Tobias Roland 6’3 – SF – PC North

Roland has taken quantum leaps in his game over the last year. He is just playing good basketball despite his position on the floor. His strong frame and a high-level explosion will keep him in the D1 coaches recruiting board. Roland is shown the ability to knock down the open shots, be a tough straight-line driver and post up smaller defenders. He has added the mid-range shot to his game, which will add to his recruiting. Roland needs to be more comfortable as a playmaker and be more fluent as a perimeter prospect. Roland will look to add to his list of D1 offers during this summer and senior year of high school.

10. Keyondre Young 6’7 – SF – Del City

Young is another intriguing prospect; he has the size, skillset, and ability to an elite snipper. Young shows a lot of promise over time, but disappears in various situations when he is not making shots or getting touches. Young has the ability to be a top-five prospect because of his length and the ability to play multiple positions on the court. For young, the area of improvement is his motor and strength, then his recruiting should improve tremendously. Young is due for a breakout in July, he just needs to show more grid and passion when he is in that square. This prospect has an opportunity to be a national 3 and D prospect, much like Jaxson in this class.

11. Sean Pedulla  6’0 – PG – Edmond Memorial

Pedulla has a good feel for the game; he has a high IQ and can knock down the three-ball at a high percentage rate. Pedulla is a competitor and leaves it on the floor. Despite not being as athletic as many of the other perimeter prospects in the class, he knows how to in and be a good team player. Pedulla is a winner and continues to lead his teas during the school and summer season to be among the best. His athleticism has also improved over the year, which helps him to finish and be more crafty around the basket. Pedulla will look to add to his DI offers this summer and senior year.

12. Delante Shannon – 6’3 – SG – Edmond North

Shannon is a high wire act full of energy and dynamics. Shannon is viewed more as an athlete, than a high skill student-athlete. This should be great news for him because the ceiling is high for him and he has a lot of opportunities to grow and move up in the class. Once you see Shannon play, you love his passion and ability to compete on the basketball court.  Shannon's area of improvement should come with being a consistent shooter off the dribble, decision making with the ball and fluidity. He can also become more of a playmaker and spot-up shooter will definitely help his recruiting. Shannon will look to have a strong suer and start locking up collegiate offers and more interest.

13. DJ Freeman 6’6 – SF - Cassidy

Freeman has emerged as a D1 prospect over the summer. Freeman has shown the ability to put the ball on the floor comfortably, make perimeter shots and create shots off the dribble. Freeman will look to continue and add to his D1 offers and interest list during this summer and senior year.

14. Marlo Fox – 6’1 – PG – Sand Springs

Marlo has had a break out high school season with the Sandites, Coach Savage allowed Fox to play and gain confidence that he can compete and lead a team to win at the state level. Marlo has been sensational this year, scoring on all three levels while willing his team to win. Marlo's confidence was the biggest growth to his game, he does not overwhelm his opponents with athleticism or ane physical prowess, it's his skill. His nice floater, deceptive finishes, yes and with space, he will knock down the three-ball. This prospect's hard work of the court was reflected on the court. Marlo will look to gain some interest and potential offers during the summer and high school season.

Jeff will look to gain more interest and offers this spring and his senor year of high school.

16. Jay White – 6’2 – PG – Norman North

White has a strong frame which is most notable; he enjoys the grind of the game when playing downhill. White is working his way in to become a lead guard at an elite level but has the tools to get there over time. White will have to work on his lateral quickness and finish over bigger front line players and improve cerebrally as the floor general. White will look to improve his interest and offers during the summer and high school.

17. Xavier Glen – 6’3 – SG – Bixby

Xavier is a nice looking skilled athlete, he is smooth and a tough-minded competitor. He can really finish with his strong frame and has a smooth mid-range game. He can also shoot the three-ball with space and some of the dribble. This prospect has been under the radar because he is not on what we consider a high profile state program and a high school team that has gone through many changes during his time on campus. But make no mistake, this kid can play with the best of them. Given a different situation, he could easily be a top 5- 10 prospect in this talented class. Talley will look to gain some interest during the summer and high school.

19. Jackson Skipper – 6’6 – SF – Sapulpa

Skipper has really grown his game over the past year, he is long and wiry and shown the ability to be an effective perimeter threat.  Skipper is long and fits into the mole of the position less player on the court. Skipper is still growing and once he matures into his body, he will become a much more dynamic prospect on both ends of the floor. Skipper hopes to secure more college interest and offers during the summer and senior year in high school.

20. Makale Smith – 6’1 – CG – Midwest City

Smith is a slasher when he is at his best, he is crafty around the basket when finishing. He loves playing downhill, drawing contact and sacrificing his body. Daniels despite being one of the top 2 football recruits in the state he is a really good basketball player. Daniels is a typical slasher and very athletic with a good basketball IQ. Physically he can score around the basket, good mid-range game and excellent in transition. Defensively he is tough as nails and a great teammate. Its no secret that Daniels will be playing his collegiate ball on the gridiron, but it's nice to see him on the hardwood just one more high school season.

22. Josh Nwamkwo – 6’5 – SF – PC North

Josh is the other twin, but their games differ. Josh is more perimeter-oriented and knock down the long ball. It could be viewed as more of your 3 and D prospects. Josh can certainly help his recruiting by showing more energy and being tougher on the defensive side of the ball. I would love to see him develop a mid-range game with his length on the wing. This summer and spring will be an important one for josh to help in his recruiting.

24. Anthony Turner – 6’3 – SG – Classen SAS

Turner is a high energy prospect with good athleticism, he just gets the job done. Turner plays both ends of the floor with the same energy, which is an attribute to his motor. Turner's opportunity to grow and help his recruiting will come through his ability to make shots from the perimeter at a consistent rate.

25. William Mcguire - 6'2 - CG - East Central

Mcguire is a do it all combo guard who just loves to play. Armed with sound athleticism he is a walking bucket and uses his wiry frame and athleticism to find angles and score. Mcguire carries much of the scoring load for the Cardinals, which has allowed him to mature as a leader. Mcguire needs to work on the development of his shot, which will help in his overall recruiting on the basketball court. It should be noted that Mcguire is also a pretty good football player, therefore it will be interesting to see where he lands.

28. Princeton Johnson – 6'2 – CG – Cassidy

Johnson is a good looking guard who can fill it up and demonstrate some good athleticism. He has good size at the position, plays under good control and shows a nice feel for the game. 31. Jalen Tucker – 6’5 – PF – Tulsa Memorial

One of the most physically imposing prospects in the class with elite athleticism. Tucker plays with a relentless abandon and does not take plays off.
