1. LEAGUE OVERVIEW
More Than The Score (MTTS) is a competitive basketball circuit with a dual focus:
-Winning performance (Traditional score)
-Team development + behavior performance (Synergy Score)
-The league emphasizes leadership, IQ, and unity. Every player, coach, and team is evaluated on both game outcomes and their ability to embody teamwork and interdependence.
Games will be played in Oklahona, Arkansas, and possible Kansas and Missouris. Specific game locations will follow.
2. TEAM REQUIREMENTS
Eligibility Criteria:
-Players must be registered through verified rosters with proof of age.
-Teams must have a head coach, assistant coach, and a designated team rep for media/communications.
-Must participate in minimum 2 circuit sessions and the Synergy Cup Finals.
Roster Guidelines:
Max 12 players per roster.
No player can play for more than one team in the same division.
Changes allowed up to 48 hours before an event with approval.

3. COMPETITION FORMAT
High School Game Rules (FIBA/NFHS Hybrid):
-8 - minute Quarters (stop clock) |-35 Second shot clock |-1-minute between quarters
-5 - halftime | -2 timeouts per half (no carryover)
-Ball advances to halfcourt on timeouts under Two Minutes
-OT: First OT 2 minutes (1 timeout) Continue this format until winner
-Running clock mercy rule if lead >20 with <5 mins remaining
-Player Fouls: 5 per player for disqualification
-Team Fouls (Bonus): 5 = double bonus
-Technical Fouls: Automatic 2 free throws and possession

4. SYNERGY SCORE (Behavior-Based Performance)
Each team is scored 1–5 in five synergy categories per game:
Synergy Category Description.
Each of the five stages will have 15 Performance Behaviors that will be measured through our system. These behaviors will be provided in full to each team once registered. Here is a sample of some behaviors that will be measured.
Communication Use of positive, constructive, and strategic communication on the floor
Team IQ Ability to adapt, problem-solve, and execute plays intelligently
Effort & Hustle Second-effort plays, rebounding, floor dives, transition speed
Unselfishness Passing, assisting, sharing the ball, spreading the floor
Body Language Bench engagement, coachability, response to adversity
These scores are used to:
Determine Synergy Score Champions
Evaluate players for All-Synergy Team, MVP, and Leadership Awards
Recognition. There will be All league for traditional awards and All Synergy teams from the Regular Season. More details to come.
5. COACH EXPECTATIONS
Sideline Conduct:
-Professional, encouraging, and disciplined leadership expected
-Coaches must complete MTTS Coach Orientation
-No tolerance for ref abuse, taunting, or technical foul accumulation
Coach Access:
-All coaches receive access to the Synergy Workshop and digital coach packet
-Includes scout sheets, Synergy Model rubric, and heat map templates
6. MEDIA, VIDEO & PLAYER EXPOSURE
All Games Livestreamed
Streamed through MTTS-approved platforms
Team Media Days: Each team will Participate
Conducted at designated session(s)
Includes player intros, coach interviews, synergy player spotlights
Media Rules:
Must wear MTTS media badge
No on-court filming during live play without approval
Interviews must be scheduled through league media rep

Weekly recap posts
Social spotlights (#MoreThanTheScore)

Matching shorts required
Logos of sponsors permitted but must be league-appropriate

MTTS and JRMTTS will be played at different location and weekends during the April and May. The Synergy Cup all teams will play the same weekend.

The More Than The Score League will host a Super 40 Invite Camp during June (Exact Date to be determined), bringing together the top performers from both the High School division and JrMTTS participants. This exclusive camp will take place at the premier Synergy Sports Adventure Complex in Oklahoma City, offering an elite experience in a world-class facility.
