Big Event Nationals 2016 Report & Results

Girls 10U

The division was filled with young talent. In the final game Ok Select battled the OKC Franchise. Ok select girls extended defense and ability to finish around the basket landed them the championship. 

Girls 11U

The finals featured Western Oklahoma Ravens and Lady Warriors. Both teams moved the ball well and defended their baskets tough, in the end the Ravens found away to seal the deal for the championship. 

Girls 13U

This division was very tough; every team lost a game in bracket play. The tough minded Team Tulsa Pink battled the Lady fire the two time AAU state champs. It was East vs West in the championship. This championship gave was one of the highlights on championship Sunday. Team Tulsa won in a barn burner 22-20. This game was played well defensively. Coach Clyde Hill had the ladies in pink poised to make a run in other national tournaments. 

Boys 8U

The youngsters was in full form, after the upset of OK Chaos 2027 defeating their 2026 team, the 2027 team advanced to the finals. The OKC Franchise faced of against OK Chaos 2027 team and it was back and forth until the franchise found a way to create separation with their full court pressure. Exciting games between both teams. 

Boys 9U

The 9u boys game was a battle between OKC Franchise and Tulsa All Stars. The Tulsa All Stars was tough defensively; they did not make tough shots in timely moments. The OKC Franchise tough defensive and execution on offense was enough to earn them the championship. 

Boys 10U

This division. featured some top stiff competition, with BTR leading the charge. OKC franchise gave them all they could handle in pool play. In the finals BTR tough defense and execution On offense created separation to close the deal on championship.   

Boys 11U

Dynasty Elite was tough in the division, coach Myron Gills had his boys playing good team basketball. In the finals BTR battled Dynasty Elite, but the team discipline of the Dynasty was too much for BTR. 

Boys 12U

This division was competitive all the way through. Teams got better here and challenged each other to make adjustments throughout. In a tough semifinal and controversial game OK Chaos plying up a grade list in overtime to the OKC Magic. The finals featured Spencer Cougars vs OKC Magic. The Spencer Cougars was just to much to handle in the championship game. 

Boys 13U

One of the most competitive division in the tournament, was led by Impact Athletics and their coach "LB" who was there to defend their crown. GTH 4XIII kept it interesting, but team infinity was able to advance to the finals and play Impact Athletics. A close game throughout, however impact was able to Defend their crown. 

Boys 14U

GTH 4XIII the top rank team in the state according to various polls had a target on their backs. The Norman Elite and Spencer Cougars had a point to prove to knock of the top team in the class in the state of Oklahoma. GTH 4XIII winning steak came to a stop vs Norman Elite in the championship game. 

High Boys Gold Division

This division had some really competitive teams at the top, such as Ok Explosion and Bad Boys, but in the end it was Jah's Elite and GTH 4XIII who met up in the finals. It was a lot of fireworks between the two teams, who both have a few high major kids on their rosters. In the end Jah's Elite found away to grind their away to a victory. Great game on both ends of the floor by both teams. 

High School Boys Platinum Division

The platinum division featured some high risers and solid perimeter players. The OKC Running rebels had a good shoeing along with the Kings of the Court. In the end Ok Magic and GTH 4XIII battled their way to the finals. In a track meet with lots of threes, good defense around the basket and a well-played game, in the end OK Magic found a way to close the deal in  69-63 victory.
