Big Event Tip Off Report

Great weekend of basketball at the 8th Annual Big Event Tip-Off at the Santé Fe Family Life Center. The competition was fierce as regional teams from five states tried to take home the crown. In the 12U girls division the lady Thunder played well despite thei

HS1 girls had a strong division with Western OK Ravens with a good showing and discipline offensively and defensively. The HES group just played tough, but in the end the OK Fire closed out the tournament is the visitors. 

The boys 10U was exciting as Ball Time separated them self from the rest with tough defensive play. OK swish showed poise, while EOC boys were scrappy in their tournament debut. Great watching the future talent on display. 

The 12U boys division was packed with talent from four different states. Drive 5 represent well from Kansas City. The SRW Knights was tough, they got up in down in transition very well and executed their game plan to stay in tough games. However the Arkansas Truth boys came to play. Clear the better team this past weekend. Very talented group and look for them to be noisy as they move on the circuit.

OK Fire HS 1 champs

The 13U division featured the OKC Premier who showed toughness in spurts, HES put together some good runs during Games, but the Arkansas Truth showed up tough again in the championship game. 

The 14U saw dome read ft Texas SRW Knights again played with a lot of energy, prime. Athletics who was tough and showed good discipline. GTH Enrique Langford Aka "White Chocolate" demonstrated a high level of offensive skill, especially from behind the arc, In the end GTH 4XIII Ok Magic in the ship, but in the end the Magic found away to seal the deal and win the championship.

The HS 1 division featured some string talent was string as the Impact 2021 boy faced of against Kansas Heat which was a great game that resulted in a Kansas Heat team winning. impact lost one in overtime. Despite the loss the Impact demonstrated that they are preparing for the national stage and are locked and loaded. It's was a pleasure watching the Impact defend full 94 feet of the entire game and effective during that process. Great job to coach LB of trusting the process. 

The HS 2 division had some good talent with the GTH 4XIII Elite team showing strong playing against up in the 17U division while preparing for the adidas Gauntlet, the young fellas seem adequately prepared. Traejon Davis certainly elevated his level of play showing why he might be the top player in the 2020 class when it's all said and done. He was simply electrifying at all levels. Devon Kohen had a strong showing, the 6'8 stretched can shoot the ball and has elite level athleticism. The ok magic proved really tough and win the championship game vs PWP. In the exhibition Game that followed GTH 4XIII Elite vs OK Magic was classic. Full of high level dunks, offensive skill work, and Long ball which GTH 4XIII sank 13 three Colt Savage (3) Tyre Pinder (3), Adokiye (3) Mason Harrel (2) and Corey Sato (2). GTH redeemed a win from the earlier loss in the tournament 69-60. 

Over all great play through out the weekend and it's our Hope that everyone improved o. Their team play.
