MISSION STATEMENT: The mission of Gym Time Hoops basketball program is to cultivate a team of leaders and inspire individuals to become an essential piece to their team. Gym Time Hoops will provide quality service and we are committed to excellence in the development of youths. Gym Time Hoops wants to create more gym time in a positive environment for all participants because everyone needs more gym time.

At Gym Time Hoops, we are honored to present a venue that provides an opportunity for everyone to develop as coaches and players. Gym Time Hoops was established to provide a venue whereby individuals will be able to develop their skills and talents on and of the court. We at Gym Time Hoops believe that every opportunity a team plays, it is an opportunity for development. Gym Time Hoops will provide opportunities for teams to grow and improve. It is our belief that every individual will improve as we provide Gym Time to all our participants.
LEADERSHIP TEAM:
Dr. Roy Pinder has dedicated over 25 years to basketball, as a basketball player from Northeastern State University, as a high school and highly competitive club basketball coach for over 12 years. Dr. Pinder won the District and got runner up in area as a high school coach; as a club coach two state and a runner up title and third place in MAYB national tournament to his resume. Dr. Pinder received his Bachelors degree from Northeastern State University and his MBA and Doctorate from the University of Phoenix in Business Management in Organizational Leadership. During his collegiate career he was nominated as the top student athlete and all tournament team. He is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. He has been involved in Toastmasters, and has volunteered at the Salvation Army for over ten years.
He is an author of books on team work and leadership. He has seen many successful teams from the board room to the locker room and they all have one thing in common, their positive attitude to be successful. Dr. Pinder is an educator, author and inspirational speaker. Dr. Pinder is the founder and president of Mind Trotters Inc. and Save Our Youth Development Foundation, a non profit organization.
Since 2000, he has hosted basketball camps and tournaments, nationally and internationally, to introduce individuals to the concept of leadership and teamwork. He is actively involved in youth development, and has created a program called Preparing Youths for Leadership (PYFL). Having a passion for leadership and teamwork, Dr. Pinder believes that preparation is the foundation of leadership and teamwork. He plans to develop this concept through research in his doctoral studies and beyond.
Gym Time Hoops are apart of the adidas Grass roots program. Teams participate in the Top National Tournaments throughout the United States during the NCAA Viewing Periods where hundreds of college coaches attend.
We coach, train and develop our players in team, one-on-one and small group sessions to help expand their basketball skills and take their games to the next level.
